Megna spent this past season playing for both Providence and Boston

The Colorado Eagles have signed former Nebraska-Omaha forward Jayson Megna to two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.

A native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Megna spent the 2023-24 season with both the Providence Bruins and Boston Bruins. In one regular season game with Boston, Megna was held pointless. With Providence, he scored 19 goals and added 37 assists for 56 points in 69 regular season games.

Prior to turning pro in 2012, Megna spent one season with the Mavericks where he had 31 points in 38 games.

As Megna gets sets to return to the Eagles (he played for them from 2019-2022), he is a solid signing for the team. Averaging 0.63 points per game over the course of his AHL career, the Eagles will rely on Megna to produce and keep their playoff streak intact.
