Former Northeastern and Boston University defenseman Braden Doyle has joined Niagara University, it was announced this past week.
A product of Lynnfield, MA., Doyle suited up for the Huskies this past season where he had a goal in 13 games. Over the course of his three seasons in the NCAA, Doyle has two goals and eight assists for 10 points in 44 games.
Between playing for the Terriers and Huskies, Doyle suited up for the Penticton Vees (BCHL). After joining Boston University at the beginning of the 2021-22 season, Doyle played eight games with the team before leaving for the BCHL.
After finishing the season with the Vees, Doyle joined Northeastern in the fall of 2022 and spent two seasons with the team.
As Doyle joins the Purple Eagles for his senior season, he will have the opportunity to carve a role for himself and potentially earn a pro deal. While his stats don't jump off the page, Doyle has produced at a decent rate when given the opportunity to play.
