Former St. Lawrence forward Cameron Buhl has signed a one-year deal with the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies, it was announced this past week.
Hailing from South St. Paul, Minn., Buhl got into 26 games with the Saints last season, scoring four goals and adding two assists for six points. Over 139 career NCAA games, Buhl collected 23 goals and 29 assists for 52 points. In his time with the Saints, he was also crowned a ECAC Champion and named to the ECAC First All-Star Team.
Before making the jump to the NCAA, Buhl played his junior hockey with the NAHL's Minnesota Magicians, putting up 115 points in 162 games.
With Buhl making the transition to the pro game, he should have the opportunity to prove he can play at the ECHL level. A smart player who can find teammates in and around the net, Buhl could prove to be a solid depth add for the Grizzlies.
