As Denver and Boston College get set to face off, here are some quick storylines to watch for

After two entertaining games took place on Thursday night, the NCAA Frozen Four finals has been set with Denver set to face off against Boston College for the NCAA championship.

To get here, Denver faced off against Boston University where the Pioneers took the Terriers to overtime and prevailed by a score of 2-1. On the other side, Boston College faced off against Michigan and took the victory by a score of 4-0.

With the big game set to take place tomorrow, here are some notes to get you set for the big game.

Smith, Leonard, Perreault line continue to dominate

The line of Will Smith, Ryan Leonard and Gabe Perreault continued their dominant form against Michigan. Similar to the rest of the season, the trio of freshmen sparked Boston College's offense to get into the finals. Will Smith collected two goals, Leonard chipped in with an assist and Perreault had the best night with a goal and two assists.

If Boston College hope to get by a talented Denver team, their line has to be rolling as they have done so far. With a goalie that is tough to beat, Boston College may be in for a long night.

Davis holding down the fort in the net

Matt Davis, the starting goalie for the Pioneers, has been outstanding throughout the NCAA tournament, currently sporting a .972 save percentage through three games so far.

Having turned away 104 out of 107 shots, Davis has been a big reason for the the Pioneers making the final for the second time in three seasons.

With a high-flying Eagles offense that comes in waves, Davis will need to stand on his head as he has so far in Denver want to emerge victorious.

Cutter Gauthier's final college game

In what is very likely Cutter Gauthier's final game before turning professional with the Anaheim Ducks, Gauthier has the chance to finish off his NCAA career with a championship.

Coming off a goal in the semifinals, Gauthier has continued his great play of late. With 13 points in his last five games, Gauthier has been firing on all cylinders, getting to areas around the net and create for his teammates.

Gauthier should be motivated to finish off his picturesque season atop the NCAA mountain.
