Medicine Hat Tigers forward Gavin McKenna has committed to Penn State, it was announced on Monday.

A native of Whitehorse, YK, McKenna recorded 129 points (41 goals, 88 assists) in 56 regular season games for the Tigers in the WHL last season.

McKenna is widely projected to be the first overall pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.

A 2007-born skater, McKenna will now make the jump to the NCAA and join the Nittany Lions for the 2025-26 season and instantly become a major threat to opponents.
