Cicero spent parts of four seasons with the Crusaders and is entering his final season of eligibility

Holy Cross senior forward Alec Cicero has transferred to Canisius College, he announced on Twitter Wednesday.

The Williamsville, N.Y., native spent four seasons with the Crusaders where he scored 20 goals and added 28 assists for 48 points in 130 career games. Cicero set career-high in goals this past season with 11 and tied his career-high in points with 18.

Prior to his NCAA career, Cicero played his junior hockey with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, where in parts of two seasons he had 94 points in 103 games.

With one season of eligibility remaining, Cicero joins a Golden Griffins program that continues to attract current and former players from the OJHL. While they struggled last season, finishing eight in the AHA, Cicero is a good get for the program and should help give them a boost on the offensive side of the puck.
