

Former Michigan State forward Isaac Howard has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Edmonton Oilers, it was announced on Tuesday.
Howard's rights were traded by the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Oilers in exchange for fellow forward prospect Sam O'Reilly.
The reigning Hobey Baker Award winner was expected to return to the Spartans for the 2025-26 season but will now make the jump to the professional ranks with Edmonton.
The Hudson, Wisc., native was originally selected by the Lightning in the first round, 31st overall, in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
