    Michigan State junior forward Isaac Howard has won the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, it was announced on Friday at the Frozen Four in St. Louis.

    In 37 games for the Spartans this season, Howard tallied 52 points (26 goals, 26 assists). He also was named the Big Ten Player of the Year. Howard eked out Boston College's Ryan Leonard and Denver's Zeev Buium, the other two finalists.

    Howard recently announced that he will return to Michigan State for his senior season.
