Korodiuk is currently playing for the USHL's Madison Capitols

The USHL's Madison Capitols announced Wednesday that defenseman Ivan Korodiuk has committed to Bowling Green for next season.

A product of Kiev, Ukraine, Korodiuk suited up for the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (NAHL) last year, collecting three goals and 22 assists for 25 points in 60 regular season games. So far this season with the Capitols, Korodiuk has an assist in one game.

Standing at 6-foot-5, Korodiuk is a smart defenseman who knows how to make an impact at both ends of the ice. He uses his frame efficiently to deny players space towards the middle of the ice and uses his passing ability to advance the puck up ice. In the offensive zone, he has a hard shot that he is not afraid to unleash that can cause damage if it finds its way through traffic.

With this being Korodiuk's last junior season, it will be interesting to monitor how he handles the transition to the USHL. He's looked good so far and has the skill to maintain that throughout the course of the season.
