Former New Hampshire defenseman Jack Babbage has transferred to St. Lawrence, it was announced earlier this week.

Hailing from Tully, N.Y., Babbage just finished his third season with the Wildcats and fourth in the NCAA, collecting one goal in 20 games. Across 49 career NCAA games with New Hampshire and Quinnipiac, Babbage has put up two goals and five assists for seven assists.

Prior to making his way to the NCAA, Babbage played four seasons of junior hockey in the USHL with the Sioux City Musketeers and the Chicago Steel. His best offensive season came in his last year where he collected eight goals and 29 points in 53 regular season games.

A smart defender who knows where to be when on the ice, Babbage has the ability to make plays and will be one to monitor as he heads off to join the Saints. Although his numbers have never popped in the NCAA, if he gets an expanded role, Babbage could take a leap in production.
