The ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets have re-signed forward Jack Dugan to a one-year deal, it was announced this past week.
A product of Pittsburgh, Pa., Dugan suited up for the Komets last season, collecting 20 goals and 60 assists for 80 points in 70 regular season games. Dugan led the ECHL in assists and finished fifth in points.
Drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights in the fifth round of the 2017 NHL Draft, Dugan spent two seasons in the organization before moving on.
Prior to turning pro in 2020, Dugan spent two seasons playing for Providence College, collecting 91 points in 75 career games.
With 2023-24 being Dugan's first pro season where he spent time in the ECHL, he showed that he was one of the best players in the league. While he re-upped with the Komets, it would not be surprising to see an AHL team give him another look in 2024-25.
