Boston University announced the captains for the 2026-27 season, highlighted by the senior Jack Harvey.

The Boston University Terriers have named Jack Harvey their captain for the 2026-27 season. Harvey, a senior, is coming off his highest goal total; last year, he had 13 goals in 36 games.

Another fun fact about Harvey: he became the fifth captain, Jack, in program history, and the first in 47 years. Those before him were Jack Garrity (1950-51), Jack Murphy (1955-56), Jack Parker (1967-68), Jack O'Callahan (1977-78, 78-79). Yes, it’s the Jack O’Callahan from the infamous Miracle on Ice team.

Earning the ‘C’ on your sweater is a huge deal at any school, but at BU it means just a little bit more. And when you add in that the program had a horrific year for their standards, there will be a lot on Harvey’s shoulders to help get the team back to the pinnacle of college hockey.

Alongside him will be assistant captains Kamil Bednarik, Aiden Celebrini, Mick Frechette, and Nick Roukounakis. There will be a lot of expectations from these players, and with a lot of talent on the roster this year, it’ll come down to the room and whether everyone can buy in.

But buy-in first starts with your captain, so if Harvey wants to be a successful captain for this squad, he has to be the first guy in line for every drill, every workout, and he needs to set an example on and off the ice.
