Des Moines Buccaneers forward Jack Kernan has committed to North Dakota, it was announced this past week.

Kernan, a product of Maple Grove, Minn., is in his second season with the Buccaneers where he has scored 29 goals and added 23 assists for 52 points in 62 regular season games. Across 122 career regular season games, Kernan has collected 44 goals and 35 assists for 79 points.

Prior to heading to Des Moines, Kernan played for Maple Grove High, putting up an impressive 29 goals and 80 points in 62 games.

With Kernan heading to join the Fighting Hawks in the fall, they will be getting a skilled forward who knows how to put the puck in the back of the net. Not afraid to shoot it when given the chance, Kernan's skills should translate well into the NCAA.
