Parsons becomes the first OHL player to commit to an NCAA program following Thursday's monumental news

Kitchener Rangers goaltender Jackson Parsons has committed to Clarkson, it was announced Thursday.

A product of Embrun, Ont., Parsons became the first OHL player to commit to an NCAA school following Thursday's ruling that granted CHL players eligibility to play college hockey.

In his fourth season with Kitchener, Parsons has posted a record of 9-2-1 to go along with a 2.73 GAA and a .905 SV% in 12 appearances. Throughout his OHL career, Parsons has put up a record of 46-34-5, a 3.24 GAA and a .896 SV%.

A quick, agile goaltender who tracks the puck well through traffic, Parsons should translate well to the NCAA and get playing time as soon as he joins the Golden Knights next fall.
