Seacoast Performance Academy 16U forward Jackson Smail has committed to Vermont, it was announced Sunday. 

Smail, a product of Milton, Vt., finished his third season with Seacoast this year, collecting 19 goals and 23 assists for 42 points in 48 games. Before this season, he spent his 14U and 15U years with the program. 

Although he went undrafted into the USHL, Smail has consistently produced offensively, putting up 30 goals and 20 assists for 50 points in 67 games last year. 

With him joining the Catamounts in 2027, Smail will have the opportunity to round out his game at the junior level, which will likely begin next season . As someone who has the ability to make plays for himself and others, Smail is a great add for Vermont and will be one to watch when he does make the jump.
