Former Rouyn-Noranda Huskies defenseman Jeremy Langlois has committed to Maine, it was announced Friday.
Langlois, who has missed this entire season with an injury, last played in 2023-24 with the Huskies in what was his overage season. In 61 games, he scored 17 goals and added 45 assists for 62 points.
Drafted in the third round of the 2022 NHL Draft by the Arizona Coyotes, Langlois spent parts of five seasons in the QMJHL with the Huskies, Cape Breton Eagles and the Quebec Remparts. Over that span, he collected 44 goals and 131 assists for 175 points in 253 career games.
With Langlois set to return to hockey in the fall, he's a solid get for the Black Bears. As someone who works hard at both ends of the ice, Langlois has the skills necessary to step back into a highly competitive environment and thrive.
