Sioux Falls Power 16U forward Jimmy Egan has committed to Arizona State, it was announced late last week.
Egan, who was previously committed to Colorado College, spent this past season with the Power and the USHL's Omaha Lancers. Although he went pointless in three games with the Lancers, Egan scored 15 goals and added 30 assists for 45 points in 26 games with Sioux Falls.
A product of Mahtomedi, Minn., Egan played his minor hockey with the MN Bruins, MN Loons, Minnesota Generals, Mahtomedi Bantam and Team MPLS Magazine as well as high school hockey with Mahtomedi High.
Not scheduled to head to Arizona State until 2027, Egan has a long time to continue developing before making the jump to the NCAA. With the Lancers looking like a probable destination for Egan next year, he will be joining a USHL team where he can expect to play solid minutes and be a contributor for them.
