Former Lindenwood defenseman Joe Prouty has transferred to Michigan Tech, it was announced Monday.

Prouty, a product of Apple Valley, Minn., just finished his junior season with the Lions, scoring one goal and adding three assists for four points in 32 games. Across a total of 90 games with Lindenwood, Prouty collected three goals and 18 assists for 21 points.

Prior to making his way to the NCAA, Prouty spent parts of three seasons playing for the NAHL's New Mexico Ice Wolves, accumulating five goals and 29 assists for 34 points in 132 games. In addition, Prouty played his minor hockey with the Metro SE Moose and the Sioux Falls Power.

With Prouty off to join the Huskies, he will likely be able to grab a role with the team when the puck drops in October. Although his offensive stats don't jump off the page, Prouty does not shy away from being physical at both ends of the ice and will bring value to Michigan Tech.
