

Victoria Royals defenseman Keaton Verhoeff has committed to North Dakota, it was announced on Friday.
A native of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Verhoeff appeared in 63 regular season games for the Royals in 2024-25, where he tallied 21 goals and 24 assists. He also won gold for Canada at the World U18 Championship earlier this year, where he recorded a goal and four assists in five games.
A 2008-born skater, Verhoeff is eligible for the 2026 NHL Entry Draft and will make the jump to the NCAA and join the Fighting Hawks for the 2025-26 season.
