Petruzzelli joins the Phantoms after seeing time with the Marlies in 2023-24

The Lehigh Valley Phantoms have signed former Quinnipiac goalie Keith Petruzzelli to a one-year deal, Tony Androckitis reported Saturday.

Petruzzelli, who spent four seasons as a member of the Bobcats, spent this past year with the Toronto Marlies (AHL). In 17 appearances, he posted a 6-8-2 record to go along with a 3.55 GAA and a .867 SV%.

Prior to turning pro in 2021-22, Petruzzelli appeared in 94 career games with the Bobcats, posting a 51-27-8 record, a 2.17 GAA and a .915 SV%.

Drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round of the 2017 NHL Draft, Petruzzelli elected not to sign with the team when he finished his NCAA career and joined the Maple Leafs organization. As Petruzzelli joins the Phantoms now, they are hoping he can bounce back and find his game.
