Walsh spent the past two seasons playing at Northeastern

The Savannah Ghost Pirates have signed former Northeastern and Merrimack forward Liam Walsh to a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday.

A five-year NCAA player, Walsh spent the past two seasons playing for the Huskies. In 36 games last season, he scored four goals and added three assists for seven points. Over 140 career games, he put up 31 goals and 37 assists for 68 points.

Prior to making the jump to the NCAA, Walsh played his junior hockey for the USHL's Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.

While Walsh's numbers have taken a dip offensively over the past few years, he has shown to be reliable player who can create for himself and others. He has pro attributes in his game and that should allow him to enter Ghost Pirates' training camp and not look out of place.
