Former Michigan State goaltender Luca Di Pasquo has transferred to Minnesota, it was announced late last week.
Having just wrapped up his sophomore season with the Spartans, Di Pasquo collected a 7-0-0 record to go along with a 1.70 GAA and a .933 SP in seven appearances. Across 11 career NCAA games, he has accumulated a record of 9-1-1, a 1.94 GAA and a .925 SP.
Prior to making the jump to the college level, Di Pasquo played his junior hockey in the NAHL (Shreveport Mudbugs and Maryland Black Bears, the USHL (Green Bay Gamblers) and the BCHL (Penticton Vees).
With Di Pasquo heading to join the Golden Gophers, he will have the opportunity to grab a big role with the team next year. With Trey Augustine returning for the Spartans, Di Pasquo would have been relegated to back-up duty again but this move allows him to be the potential starter with Minnesota.
