    Sorace is in his final season of junior hockey with the BCHL's Chilliwack Chiefs

    Chilliwack Chiefs defenseman Lucas Sorace has commited to Alaska Fairbanks, it was announced late last week. 

    Sorace, a product of Port Moody, B.C., has appeared in 31 games for Chilliwack this season, putting up four goals and 15 assists for 19 points. 

    Over parts of five BCHL seasons with the Chiefs and Penticton Vees, Sorace has collected eight goals and 45 assists for 53 points in 142 career regular season games. He has also put up six points in 38 playoff games. 

    Prior to making the jump, Sorace played his minor hockey with West Van Academy, Burnaby Winter Club and the Vancouver NE Chiefs. 

    As Sorace makes the jump to the Nanooks this fall, he will bringing a calm, collected game with him. As someone who makes plays under pressure, Sorace can be relied upon at both ends of the ice and should be an important piece of the puzzle for the team over the next little while.
