    Rimouski Océanic defenseman Luke Coughlin has committed to Maine, it was announced on Wednesday.

    A native of Charlottetown, P.E.I., Coughlin scored four goals and recorded 20 assists in 54 regular season games for the Océanic this past season.

    Coughlin appeared in 188 regular season QMJHL games for Rimouski, where he tallied 83 points (15 goals, 68 assists).

    A 2005-born skater, Coughlin was selected in the sixth round, 191st overall, by the Florida Panthers in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. He'll make the jump to the NCAA and join the Black Bears for the 2025-26 season.
