Shipley is suiting up for the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings in his final season of junior eligibility

Brandon Wheat Kings defenseman Luke Shipley has committed to UMass Lowell, it was announced earlier this week.

In his second full season with the Wheat Kings (and third overall), Shipley has scored 14 goals and added 31 assists for 45 points in 45 games.

Drafted by the Victoria Royals in the sixth round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, Shipley played in 103 regular season games for the team before making his way to Brandon. Over 256 career WHL regular season games, Shipley has accumulated 35 goals and 128 points.

With Shipley making his way to join the River Hawks in September, they will be getting a two-way defender who makes his impact felt all over the ice. Shipley can play in all situations and will be a go to player for UMass Lowell from day one.
