Sioux Falls Power forward Maddox Malmquist has committed to Bemidji State, it was announced earlier this week.

A native of East St. Paul, MB, Malmquist has 55 points (32 goals, 23 assists) in 48 games across all competitions for the Power's 16U AAA team.

Malmquist was selected in the eighth round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft by the Regina Pats after an impressive 2023-24 campaign with the Winnipeg Thrashers U18 AAA team. He posted 53 points (29 goals, 24 assists) in 44 games.

A 2008-born skater, Malmquist already stands at five-foot-ten and will have ample time to continue to grow and develop as a player before making the jump to the NCAA level.
