The product of Grand Forks, ND., Hanson will enter his senior season with the Vikings

Maine forward Cole Hanson has transferred to Augustana for his senior season, it was announced this past week.

The North Dakota native joins the Vikings after two seasons at Maine and one season at Colgate.

With the Black Bears this past season, Hanson scored four goals and added four assists for eight points in 34 games. Over the course of his three-year NCAA career, Hanson has 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points in 94 career NCAA games.

Prior to joining the NCAA, Hanson played his junior hockey with the Minot Minotauros and the New Mexico Ice Wolves of the NAHL where he had 25 goals and 48 assists for 73 points in 95 games.

Having just completed their first season at the D1 level, Augustana finished the season with a 12-18-4 record. As the team looks to improve upon their record this season, the addition of Hanson is a good step towards reaching that goal.
