Breen is in his fifth year with the Black Bears

Maine forward Lynden Breen has been named Hockey East Forward of the Week, it was announced Monday.

A product of Grand Bay-Westfield, N.B., Breen has collected five goals and four assists for nine points in 13 games so far this season.

Over 135 career NCAA games across parts of five seasons, Breen has put up 47 goals and 64 assists for 111 points. His accolades include being named to the Hockey East Second All-Star Team in 2022-23 and being a Hobey Baker Nominee last year.

Prior to joining the NCAA, Breen played in the USHL for the Central Illinois Flying Aces and the Fargo Force.

With Breen in his final NCAA season, he could be a prime candidate to earn a pro deal once his season is over. Having proven to be a reliable point producer, Breen could garner some AHL interest.
