Maine Black Bears forward Lynden Breen underwent surgery Friday on a lower body injury.
The injury, which Breen suffered in the Black Bears game against RPI last Saturday, will see him miss an 'undetermined period of time.'
Recently named Hockey East Player of the Week, Breen has been solid for Maine this year, collecting five goals and nine points in 13 games.
Having put up 30 points last year as a senior, Breen returned this season expected to play a massive role for the Black Bears. Having done so early into 2024-25, this injury hurts the team. While it is unknown if he will return this year, Breen should still have the opportunity to turn pro next season.
