St. Cloud Norsemen forward Mason LeBel has committed to Minnesota State - Mankato, it was announced late last week.

LeBel, a product of South Bend, Ind., split this season between the NAHL's Minnesota Mallards and the Norsemen, collecting 30 goals and 29 assists for 59 points across a combined 60 regular season games.

Having made the jump to the NAHL at the end of the 2021-22 season, LeBel played in 166 career regular season games with the Norsemen, Mallards, Janesville Jets, Anchorage Wolverines and the El Paso Rhinos. Over that time, he put up 53 goals and 49 assists for 102 points.

Prior to making the jump to the junior level, LeBel played his minor hockey for the Ohio Blue Jackets.

With LeBel aged out of junior hockey, he now turns his attention to the Mavericks and the NCAA. Having been one of the better offensive players in the NAHL this season, LeBel might fly under the radar to start but could be one to watch as he continue to develop at the collegiate level.
