Gatineau Olympiques forward Maxim Dubé has committed to Miami (Ohio), it was announced Thursday.

Dubé, a product of Fort Coulonge, Que., just finished his rookie season with the Olympiques, scoring five goals and adding 10 assists for 15 points in 56 regular season games. In a further five playoff games, Dubé scored two goals.

Drafted by the Olympiques in the first round of the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft, Dubé spent his draft-eligible season with the Long Island Gulls 15U, putting up 34 goals and 56 assists for 90 points in 68 games. His minor hockey journey also saw him suit up for the Quinte Red Devils and the Greater Kingston Gaels.

With Dubé set to join the RedHawks in 2027, he will have the ability to continue to hone his craft with Gatineau. An incredibly skilled player who needs little room to create plays, Dubé will be one to monitor as a breakout player for the 2025-26 QMJHL season.
