The Spartans are only the third team in Big Ten History to accomplish the feat of winning both the Big Ten regular season title and the Big Ten tournament title in the same season.
It took overtime at Munn Arena last night but the Spartans came out on top with their fourth straight win over the Michigan Wolverines.
Patrick Geary, a freshman from Buffalo, New York, was the hero last night for the Spartans.
"You could argue that was the biggest game in Munn history," Spartans head coach Adam Nightingale said after the win.
It was huge win for Michigan State and their program as they continue to take the NCAA by storm. They will await their opponent for the NCAA Tournament tonight during the Selection Show.
