Miami (Ohio) forward Teodor Forssander has signed a one-year deal in Sweden with Tyringe SoSS, it was announced late last week.
Forssander, a product of Goteborg, Sweden, just finished his freshman season with the RedHawks, appearing in 11 games for the team but not registering a point.
Prior to making his way to North America last fall, Forssander spent time playing in Backen HC and Frolunda HC's youth systems. In his last season of junior hockey in Sweden with Frolunda, Forssander collected 12 goals and 29 assists for 41 points in 43 regular season games.
Across his playing career in Sweden, Forssander got into one professional game, which came in the 2022-23 season with Frolunda HC (SHL).
With Forssander heading back to his home country, his experience in the NCAA was one that was not likely what he was expecting. Now slated to suit up in Sweden's third-tier pro league (HockeyEttan), Forssander should be an immediate offensive force for Tyringe SoSS.
