Lethbridge Hurricanes forward Miguel Marques has committed to Maine, it was announced Friday.

Drafted by the Nashville Predators in the third round of the 2024 NHL Draft, Marques just finished his third full season with the Hurricanes, scoring 14 goals and adding 24 assists for 38 points in 29 regular season games. With Lethbridge having made the playoffs, Marques collected four goals and 17 points in 16 games.

Over parts of four WHL seasons, Marques put together a solid stat line, accumulating 52 goals and 86 assists for 138 points in 165 regular season games with the Hurricanes. Prior to making the jump to the junior level, Marques spent time playing his minor hockey for the Cariboo Cougars, St. George's School and Delta Hockey Academy.

With Marques heading off to Maine, he joins a number of talented CHL players making the jump to the NCAA. A skilled, smart player with the puck, Marques should have no trouble bringing his scoring talents to the NCAA and becoming a go-to player on the Black Bears' roster.
