Berchild is playing for the U.S. NTDP U17 this season

Widely considered one of the best players in his age group, forward Mikey Berchild has announced his commitment to Denver.

Berchild, a product of Excelsior, Minn., made the announcement on social media Thursday.

Currently playing for the U.S. NTDP U17 Team, Berchild has two goals in two games so far this season. Having played for Shattuck St. Mary's 18U Prep last year, Berchild collected 21 goals and 39 assists for 60 points in 49 games.

With the puck on his stick, Berchild has the ability to navigate through small areas and is a threat to create whenever he touches the puck. A top prospect for the 2026 NHL Draft, Berchild should only continue to pick up the attention of the hockey world as time passes by.
