
A multi league scoring defenseman joins the Colorado College Tigers this Fall.
Colorado College is getting a reinforcement on the back end for this coming season. Blueliner Blake Jones of the BCHL's Nanaimo Clippers announced his commitment to the Tigers on Instagram just an hour ago.
Jones started the 2025-26 campaign captaining the North American Hockey League's New Jersey Titans before signing with the Clippers on Jan. 6. At the time of his departure from the Garden State, he led all NAHL defenseman in scoring with 39 points (4 goals + 35 assists).
Upon arriving in Nanaimo, Jones continued his offense at nearly the same pace, earning 23 points (1 goal + 22 assists) in 24 games. Currently, the Clippers are resting up for the second round of the 2026 Rogers BCHL Playoffs against the Cowichan Valley Capitals. Game one is Friday April 17 at 9pm CT.
Whenever Nanaimo's season ends, Jones will age out of junior hockey and head to Colorado to begin his NCAA career this fall.
