A Predators goaltending prospect trades Quebec for Columbus. Learn about his history!
Jakub Milota is headed from Quebec to the Midwest. The 2024 4th Round selection of the Nashville Predators announced his NCAA Commitment to The Ohio State University this afternoon.
A native of Ostrava, Czechia, Milota has spent the past two years in the QMJHL with the Cape Brenton Eagles before being traded to Blainville-Boisbriand at the start of this season. Despite only playing three games in 2025-26 due to injury, Milota put up solid numbers at the 2026 World Junior Championships. He notched a 3-1 record, .882 save percentage and 2.99 goals allowed average in four games.
It would not surprise me if the 20 year old Milota used his last year of eligibility in the QMJHL for the 2026-27 campaign to get reacclimated before heading to Ohio State the following season.
