Mesic just finished his freshman season while Eddy spent two years at NMU

Northern Michigan forwards Connor Eddy and Michael Mesic have entered the transfer portal, Brad Elliott Schlossman reported Thursday.

The moves come after Grant Potulny's departure from the program.

A native of Victoria, B.C., Eddy just finished his sophomore season with the Wildcats where he had seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 34 games. Across 69 NCAA games, he has 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points.

Prior to making the jump to the NCAA, Eddy played for the Victoria Grizzlies (BCHL), collecting 80 points in 104 games across three seasons.

Entering the portal with three years of eligibility remaining, Mesic spent one season with the Wildcats where he had four goals and five assists for nine points in 26 games.

Prior to that, Mesic played in the NAHL (North Iowa Bulls), USHL (Omaha Lancers & Lincoln Stars) and for the U.S. NTDP.

As both players look for new homes for next season, it is another blow to a Wildcats program that has seen a lot of turnover over the last couple weeks.
