Seminaire St-Francois Blizzard forward Noah Florent has committed to Nebraska Omaha, it was announced earlier this week.
Drafted by the Gatineau Olympiques in the first round of the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft, Florent has split time this year between the Blizzard and the Olympiques. In six QMJHL games, Florent has collected three assists while putting up 17 goals and 59 points in 38 games with the Blizzard.
A product of L'Ancienne-Lorette, Que., Florent spent his draft season last year with Seminaire St-Francois where he accumulated 17 goals and 26 assists for 43 points in 41 regular season games.
Scheduled to make the jump to the NCAA in 2027, the Mavericks will be getting a highly skilled forward in Florent. As someone who confidently carries the puck in transition and navigates well in tight areas, Florent's game will translate well with the Olympiques next year and into the NCAA in the future.
