Northeastern defenseman Michael Fisher has joined the Penticton Vees of the BCHL for the 2024-25 season, it was announced Thursday.

Fisher, a product of Westborough, MA., just finished his freshman season with the Huskies where he had a goal and an assist for two points in 29 games.

Drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the third round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Fisher joins the Vees with one season of junior eligibility remaining.

Prior to joining Northeastern, Fisher played for the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL) where he was held pointless in 14 games with the team.

"I’m excited to have an opportunity to contribute to an organization with such a rich history. I can’t wait to get to Penticton and be part of a group looking to build off the success of this past season," Fisher said in the team's official press release.

As Fisher gets set to join the Vees, the team also announced that he would return to the Huskies for the 2025-26 season.
