Gallacher just finished his senior season with the Wildcats, has one season of eligibility remaining
Northern Michigan defenseman Aiden Gallacher has transferred to Omaha, it was announced Tuesday.
A native of Rochester Hills, MI., Gallacher just wrapped up his senior season with the Wildcats, where he scored three goals and added five assists for eight points in 34 games.
In his four-year NCAA career, the senior defender has split his time between Northern Michigan and Michigan State, where he has six goals and 13 assists for 19 points in 130 games.
Before joining the NCAA, Gallacher played his junior hockey for the Bismarck Bobcats of the NAHL and the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL. In his two season with the Phantoms, he had 35 points in 83 games and served as captain during the 2019-20 season.
Although Gallacher will not be relied upon for his offensive prowess, Omaha is getting a proven leader. While they finished with a solid record of 23-13-4 this past season, adding a veteran such as Gallacher should help the team take the next step on and off the ice.
