After a QMJHL detour, Nova Scotia's Drew Hockley inks with Alaska-Anchorage, seizing a prime opportunity on the Seawolves' open roster.

Drew Hockley has a new collegiate home!  After an extra season of juniors playing in the QMJHL, the Nova Scotian has committed to the University of Alaska-Anchorage.

Hockley spent parts of two seasons at Quinnipiac University where he earned 4 points (1 goal + 3 assists) over 32 games combined. The blueliner departed for the Shawinigan Cataractes on January 6. During his 25 game stint, Hockley accumulated 6 points (1 goal + 5 assists)

Previously, Hockley attended 2025 Nashville Predators Development Camp. With a slew of Anchorage Seawolves in the Transfer Portal, spots up and down the lineup are wide open. Hockley will have every opportunity to carve out his role
