Former North Dakota forward Owen McLaughlin has transferred to Boston University, it was announced earlier this week.

Drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the seventh-round of the 2021 NHL Draft, McLaughlin just wrapped up his junior season with the Fighting Hawks, scoring five goals and adding 25 assists for 30 points in 38 games.

Over 114 career NCAA games with North Dakota, McLaughlin has collected 20 goals and 64 assists for 84 points. Prior to that, he spent time with the U.S. NTDP and the Sioux City Musketeers (USHL).

With McLaughlin transferring to Boston University for his senior season, he should be an impact player for them from Day 1. The Terriers will once again ice a talented squad of players and McLaughlin will be amongst those that NCAA fans should be paying close attention to.
