Buffalo Jr. Sabres 16U goaltender Owen Scott has committed to Ohio State, it was announced earlier this week.

Scott, a product of Buffalo, N.Y., put up solid numbers with the Jr. Sabres this past season, going 19-9-2 while posting a 2.03 GAA and a .929 SP across 30 regular season games. Having also gotten into two playoff games, Scott went 1-1 along with a 1.50 GAA and a .927 SP.

Having also played his 15U season with Buffalo, Scott flashed his potential last year as well, posting a stat line of 27-12-1, a 2.21 GAA and a .914 SP across 40 games.

Selected by the Tri-City Storm in the fifth round of the 2025 USHL Entry Draft, Scott could be a candidate to make the team next season. With Scott not scheduled to join the Buckeyes until 2028, he will have ample opportunity to continue to develop his game. If his numbers the past two seasons indicate anything, he will be one to monitor closely.
