Carter King was named NCHC Forward of the Week while Eric Pohlkamp took home NCHC Defenseman of the Week honors for Week 3.

The Denver Pioneers were well-represented in the NCHC Week 3 honors.

Senior captain Carter King was named conference Forward of the Week. The Calgary, Alberta, native tallied three goals and five points during Denver's weekend sweep against Northeastern.

King opened the scoring in Friday night's 5-2 win against the Huskies. The following night, he again opened the scoring, a power-play goal, in the first period and added another 12 seconds into the third.

This marks the first Forward of the Week honors for King, who is joined by his teammate Eric Pohlkamp. The sophomore was named conference Defenseman of the Week.

Pohlkamp, who transferred into the program from Bemidji State University this summer, recorded his first goal with the Pioneers in Saturday's 5-2 win.

The San Jose Sharks draft pick also collected the primary assist on forward Samu Salminen's goal on Friday night.

Through the first four games, Pohlkamp has one goal and two assists, making his three points the third-most among Denver defensemen.

St. Cloud's Posch Named NCHC Goaltender of the Week

Isak Posch has been recognized for his outstanding effort over the weekend.

The sophomore goaltender started both games for the Huskies and stopped a combined 51-of-53 shots on goal.

Posch turned aside 27-of-29 in St. Cloud's 3-0 loss to Michigan on Friday. However, he turned around to deliver a 24-save shutout in the Huskies' 4-0 win the following night to split the two-game set.

The Swedish netminder owns a 1.41 goals-against average and .952 save percentage with two shutouts in his first five games of the 2024-25 season.

Western Michigan's Nehring Takes Home NCHC Rookie of the Week

Forward Zach Nehring had a great showing in Western Michigan's 6-2 win over Bowling Green.

The freshman tallied two goals on two shots and three points overall, marking career highs through his first three games.

Nehring delivered the first two goals of the game and picked up the primary helper on Liam Valente's first goal in the second period.

The Minot, North Dakota, native leads the Broncos in goals (3) and points (8) this season.
