Penn State defenseman Christian Berger has entered the transfer portal, it was announced Tuesday.
The product of St. Louis, MO., spent four seasons playing for Nittany Lions where he scored nine goals and added 33 assists for 42 points in 129 career games. His best offensive output came during his junior season when he had 20 points in 39 games.
Prior to joining Penn State, Berger played his junior hockey for Madison Capitols and Omaha Lancers of the USHL. Over parts of four seasons in the league, he had 13 goals and 29 assists for 42 points in 116 games.
For a team looking for a veteran presence from the backend who can contribute offensively, Berger would be a great target.
Having proven that he can be relied upon to contribute on the scoresheet, Berger should have teams lining up for his services.
