Chicago native brings his intensity and aggression to Maryville

Maryville University just got another player for their new NCAA Hockey squad. Center Anthony Cardilli announced his commitment to the Saints yesterday morning via Instagram

Through 50 games this year Cardilli earned 28 points (14 goals + 14 assists) honing his physical talents with the BCHL's Salmon Arm Silverbacks. The Chicago native goes right after opponents, utilizing his 6 foot 4, 198 pound presence to jar the puck free and create counterattacks. Previously, he suited up for the USHL's Chicago Steel and Green Bay Gamblers throughout the past two seasons.

Having watched a few of Cardilli's contests playing for the Gamblers, I saw his gritty and intense style up close. It will be interesting to see how Cardilli's in your face forechecking helps Maryville in their inaugural NCAA Season
