Aggressive forward Tanner Morgan commits to Army West Point, bringing his intense puck battles and team-first attitude to the Black Knights' culture.

An in-your-face forward is taking his talents to Army West Point. Tanner Morgan announced his commitment to the Black Knights via Instagram today. Morgan has spent the last two years with the USHL's Omaha Lancers. During the 2025-26 season, Morgan gathered 31 points (9 goals + 22 assists) and 77 penalty minutes in 59 games. His 22 helpers led the Lancers and his 77 penalty minutes were fourth amongst his mates.

Morgan told me of his decision "It's definitely a great fit for me. I clicked with the staff immediately and loved what they had to say about building culture because that’s really important to me. West Point was gorgeous, the campus was just beautiful."

I have watched the Huntsville, AL native's rough and tumble style extensively. His intensity with the puck and ferocity away from it will be received warmly at Army. Morgan is excited for his future with the Black Knights saying "I’m pumped to be there for the 27-28 season."
