

Former Brampton Steelheads forward Porter Martone has committed to Michigan State, it was announced on Monday.
A native of Peterborough, Ont., Martone captained the Steelheads in 2024-25, where he tallied 37 goals and 61 assists in 57 regular season games.
Martone was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round, sixth overall, in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
A 2006-born skater, Martone will now make the jump to the NCAA and join the Spartans for the 2025-26 season. He'll make an impact from the moment he arrives.
