Providence Friars forward Chase Yoder has signed a one-year deal with the AHL's Manitoba Moose, it was announced Thursday.

Yoder, a product of Fairview, Texas, just finished his fifth season with Providence, serving as their captain while also putting up five goals and five assists for 10 points in 37 games. Over a total of 172 career NCAA games, Yoder compiled 32 goals and 30 assists for 62 points.

Prior to his time at the collegiate level, Yoder spent two seasons with the U.S. NTDP, accumulating 38 points in 102 games across the U17 and U18 levels.

A 2020 sixth round pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Yoder never signed with the team and now joins a Moose team where he should factor into a consistent role. Not afraid to go to the dirty areas to try and win the puck, Yoder's skills should translate over to the pro level without too much difficulty.
